Meet the BMW Club of Manitoba Directors

President

Jeremy Choy
Jeremy is the founder of the original BMW club in 2002 which was not part of the BMW umbrella until 2005 when the Club became an official chapter of the BMW Club of Canada. The Club has grown quickly through the years with the help of Jeremy and its directors.

in 2008 its goal was to increase its member base and have acheived a 30% increase from the previous year. we set an ambitious goal of 100% more hoping to hit close to that target. it's always good to set goals out of reach to make the directors work hard to hit their targets. We've moved to online registration mid 2008 which has been very successfull. We haven't received one mail in registration since our online registration went live.

Communication to the Club's members is important to Jeremy which is why he will focus on it for the current year. We are hoping to get as many members involved and active within the club. There's no doubt that we all love the marque, and we want all the members to take full advantage of all the knowledge and information the Club can provide. Communication between the Directors is very important for the club to run smooth and efficiently. Jeremy implemented a sharepoint server to help with communication and sharing documents between the directors. this tool provides a central location to access files and documents.

The future of the club looks promising and its progress is dependant on our directors and volunteers. The more help we have the faster the club will grow. we look forward to meeting new members and continue our friendship with its existing members.

Vice President

Sheldon Enns
Sheldon and his family have devoted to the marque to the point where they have all owned a BMW one time or another. There are currently three BMW's in the family and there will be many more to come.

As Vice President, you can't ask for another person more passionate about BMW's to take control in the absense of the president. Living just outside Steinbach, Sheldon makes several trips a year to winnipeg where we hold most of our general meetings. to show our appreciation, we've held meetings in Steinbach to give him a break.

Membership Director

Pierre Morris
Communicating with the club members is key to successful relationship between the Club and its members. Pierre is a very approachable person and will look after any requests thrown his way. Contacting pierre is just an email away. If you have questions regarding the benefits we have, or who you need to speak with to reset your oil and service lights.

Pierre also holds the role of Treasurer. He keeps the books tidy and keeps the expenses in check.

Events Director

Nik Fast
Nik has been a core member of the BMW Club since it began. Nik was elected as an events director and has held many successful events. Out of our many successful events, the "Garage Door Opener" , "The Last Ride", and the "New Members Meet".

The "Garage Door Opener" event is held every spring at a members house. The BBQ is fired up, and the mechanics throw on their cover-alls to help any members that come by and need help with a problem, or a simple oil change.

The "New Members Meet" is a great chance to come by and meet some of the directors and Club members. Ask questions about the club, see the cars, and enjoy the company. This event is held at Birchwood BMW so people won't have a hard time finding the location.

We are also looking at holding larger events such as car control clinics and driving schools which are similar to the BMW Advance driver training. We won't be able to obtain the instructors from the BMW Advance Driver Training, however we have found some equally skilled instructors ready to teach you how to handle your BMW. These potential events are dependant on member interest. If you are interested in attending such an event, please let us know.

Sponsorship / Advertising Director

Mark Culjak
Mark Culjak (recently elected as a temporary director) brings new and unique ideas to the Club which has the potential to increase our revenue. This is one of the most important roles in the BMW Club of Manitoba as the membership dues are not enough to run the Club. We want to keep the member dues to a bare minumum to encourage new and existing members to sign up and keep coming back. With advertising and sponsorship funds, we can organize larger events and keep events free when you would normally have to pay.

If you have ideas you'd like to share, want to become a sponsor or advertise with us please contact us.
